COMMON QUESTIONS

Where are you located?

We keep the boat docked at San Roc Marina in Orange Beach, AL. It is less than a 10 minute drive from most condos in the Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Perdido Key area.

What should we bring on our trip?

- A cooler with any drinks and snacks

- Lotion Sunscreen (Spray sunscreen is not recommended as it ruins the seats.)

-Rain Gear or heavy jackets depending on time of year and weather.

How many people are allowed on the boat?

Capt. Bryars can take up to six people at a time. The price is a flat rate regardless of the number of attendees. When fishing deeper water on the 12 hour trip four people fish at any one time so there isn't a risk of line tangles however six customers are still able to attend.

Only Exceptions: 4 person max on the Tuna Trip and the Swordfish Trip

Do you clean the fish?

Yes! We will clean all the fish for you once the trip is finished and is included in the flat rate paid for the trip. No extra charge.

What is the major difference between the 6, 8, 10 hour trips?

The main difference lies in the distance traveled. Generally, the farther you go, the better the fish quality and the greater the variety of species you can catch.

Should we tip the deckhand?

Absolutely! The deckhand’s tip is not part of the flat rate. He works hard behind the scenes from start to finish: prepping early, assisting throughout, and cleaning up long after the trip ends.

6 HOUR BOTTOM FISHING

Depending on whats in season, we are typically 15-20 miles from shore fishing for a variety of snapper species and other bottom dwelling fish. This trip allows you to do a morning or afternoon start time depending on time of year.

Very similar to our 6 hour trip, however 8 hours allows for more distance to get out further increasing the likely-hood of larger fish and potential for more species. Morning start for these trips.

Head out about 45 miles chasing big reef fish and other fun species. Depending on time of year, there are an assortment of fish species to be caught.

12 HR SWORDFISH TRIP

Max of 4 people, leaving out at 6am and heading out for the Swordfish grounds. This type of fishing takes patience but is very rewarding when you get tight on one. A trip that is for the avid fisherman and is a high risk high reward trip!

18 HR PRIVATE TUNA TRIP

This one's a 4 person max. We head out around 2 PM to hit the tuna grounds just in time for the sunset bite, then fish through the night into the sunrise. Don’t worry — we’ve got beanbags onboard so you can catch some sleep when you need it!
